AirSync is an implementation of the Exchange ActiveSync protocol (EAS). openCRX features an AirSync Server (ActiveSync-compatible clients can connect directly to the openCRX AirSync Server) and an AirSync Client (enabling backend synchronization openCRX ⇔ MS Exchange):

Based on our testing as of August 2010, the iPhone (either running iOS3 or iOS4) features a very solid ActiveSync client and the native apps available for e-mail, contacts and calendar are far superior to anything we've seen on Android 2.2 (Froyo) or Windows Mobile:
